Hit and No Fun.

This hit and run will not leave me alone.

So when I called the police department and spoke with the dispatcher she told me that there was no way I could have been hit at J and 56th because there was no stoplight there and that it must have been J and 58th.  So I took that dumb broad’s word for it and filed my police report and insurance claim using that location.  Well, on my way home from work last night I realized that I had in fact been correct.  So today marked my second morning devoted to that nonsense instead of my work.  Obnoxious.

Anyway.

I’ve been getting some very useful feedback on the PL piece, but I’ve kept myself from diving in and dissecting the thing all over again.  I need to just let it marinate for a while and work on something else.  And like I said on Monday, I took the 6th off from working.  Indeed, I watched Heathers.  It was awesome. Yesterday I worked and had class in Sacramento, so I was there all day.  Class was great again.  In fact, I’m even coming around on the poetry (tho I certainly won’t be publishing any sonnets) and am overall glad I decided to swallow my pride and take some community college courses.

After that I headed over to my coffee joint and over the following four hours pumped out 15 hand-written pages for HL.  I’m very happy with what I have so far.  While I have hit a few snags, right now I’m just trying to focus on getting the story down so that I can rework it later.  I’d say I’m about halfway there.  I’d like have it ready to edit by Friday.  As of now I have the day off and editing my own work, at least in the beginning, can be very soothing.  And empowering.

So that’s that!
